Stephany Hurtado is a Documentary and Portrait Photographer. Her work explores themes of migration, coming of age, and belonging. As a second-generation Dominican born in the United States, Stephany grew up in New York,. She turns her lens toward her family in both the U.S. and the Dominican Republic, observing how migration shapes people's practices, class, and sense of self. In documenting them, she discovers more about her own heritage, and the ways place and movement quietly shape us all.
